The initial sketch came about from randomly doodling, which I have a good habit of doing.I like drawing three-quarter views of cartoon people, and instead of drawing the second eye, I drew a flower instead. I thought it could go somewhere.

While playing around with blending options, I took the composition sketch and applied it over the finished render, creating this borderline painterly, comic style that I've been trying to capture for a long time.
